FAQ
Booking questions
- Can two people book the last seat at once?
- No. The seat is held inside a database transaction that locks the session row, checks capacity against seats already booked and held, and either grants the whole party or refuses. There is no window where both succeed.
- How do group bookings work?
- A party takes the number of seats it needs in one transaction and pays once. The remaining seats stay on sale to everybody else, so a group of four in a nine-seat sauna leaves five seats live rather than blocking the session.
- What about private hires?
- A private buyout takes the whole room at a different price, with an optional deposit up front and the balance on the day. The session disappears from public availability the moment it is booked.
- Does the waitlist actually do anything?
- Yes. When a seat is released inside your cancellation window, the waitlist is notified in order and the first person to take it gets it. You do not chase anybody.
- Can I stop people booking too close to the session?
- Set a cut-off per session type. Fifteen minutes for a social session, twenty-four hours for a private hire, whatever suits the way you fire the stove.
